Seek for Content

There is a new Autodesk website available to search for Revit Content.

Go to You can search by keyword, browse by CSI format, and filter it down by manufacturer. It appears to pull from multiple websites. It is a one stop shop for all your content searches.

There is also a built in search line inside of the Revit 2009 products that will launch this site.

I appreciate your blog a lot. Thanks.

Taking your advice I downloaded a .dwg file of an Andersen window I found using Seek.

It turned out to be a polymesh window (with quite a bit of detail) in a piece of polymesh wall. No layers other than two polymeshs. No materials.

I am tempted to ask: what good is that? But am tempered instead to ask how do you suggest it be used?

Do manufacturers know we have been using AEC content for a while now?
